I remember being taken aback when news first broke about Caprica. When my fanboy squees after reading the words 'BSG spin-off' finally receded, I finished reading the headline. The phrase 'family drama' seemed to throw me off a little. Ultimately, one of the best crews in TV made that shit WORK. Style, concept, and intrigue in the setting I didn't know I wanted. Also, V-world is frakking amazing. ;) +1.

At the risk of feeding the troll, BSG was by far and away the most original and impressive sci-fi invention of 'a world' I have ever seen on television. Caprica was a complex, refreshingly mature, richly detailed and thoughtful elaboration of that world. Moreover, it was its own world too, perhaps too different to the one that spawned it for those who wanted more of the same. I for one will miss going there and buying the ice cream, it tastes nothing like shit. Nice blog. As for Star Trek, I was thinking of Voyager, Enterprise, movies like Nemesis and the recent Abrams reboot. DS9 was genius by comparison, though disappointing compared to TNG or TOS. I'm glad I have higher standards than you, even though it means I'm disappointed more often. Producers love people like you, who will swallow whatever shit they give you and call it icecream. I'm glad I don't agree. Also, DS9 is another great 'insulting' show. It’s a shame you were only looking for BSG season zero. I’m glad I don’t agree. Also, DS9 is another great ‘insulting’ show.

It was insulting, that they would think we would swallow anything associated with BSG. That's the same mistake the Star Trek people made. There’s nothing smart about Caprica.
