Miami Vice (2006)

Starring: Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, and Justin Theroux
They didn’t even use the theme song. Calling this movie an adaptation of the 80’s TV show is comparable to the similarity between Saving Private Ryan and Hogan’s Heroes.
Apparently bad camera work and a ‘gritty’ feel makes it authentic, and the lack of opening credits makes it immersive (I thought the projectionist screwed up and forgot the first reel).
Bottom Line: Not a terrible cop-drama, but overall pointless as it fails as both an adaptation… and as entertainment.
